My thoughts:
My former supervisor at another work place had told me about this place last summer, and ever since, I'd been meaning to come here. What better occasion to come to an upscale tea/dessert/brunch establishment than someone's birthday?
Came with the same party of people as the Hapa Izakaya bunch, KK and JA. JA was full from dinner but knowing that she loves cheesecake, I ordered a slice of the RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE ($8.50) for her. This was so-so. I suppose this isn't their specialty.
KK had a PASSION FRUIT PARFAIT ($8.50), which was da bomb - do people even use that expression anymore? The inside is a passion fruit sorbet encapsulated within a mango chocolate casing. Topped with a mango glaze and a side of blackberry sauce and whipped cream. Yum.
